Buried Alive – it takes Courage to create Timeless Art

Isolirium Entertainment has continuously promoted and pushed music brands under the label. Through all legitimate means, the record label has ensured Dr Pushkin’s music has travelled worldwide from online platforms and TV channels to live performances at the SXSW festival. The label remains committed to promoting its artists. When it eventually unveiled the amazing vocalist Ataman Nikita, there was no wane in ensuring his music and brand thrived. This article is a story of how much and far Isolirium Entertainment has gone to bring you two of the finest musical acts of now, Dr Pushkin and Ataman Nikita.

Isolirium Entertainment

Rising from the Grave.

Imagine being buried alive to create compelling visuals for a music video. That is precisely what Dr Pushkin endured on the set of Empty Grave featuring B-Wayne. While B-Wayne played the first Black Angel from Bolgatanga, Dr Pushkin bore the brunt associated with the heat in the dirt of the savanna. This was how the hit song “Empty Grave” became the people’s choice music video.

In a spirited display of showmanship, Rapper Dr Pushkin has teamed up with a young Director in the Northern Region for a visually stimulating music video. Exuding an Afro-oriented biopic of hatred and a classic display of “enemies within”, the Director uses a relatable storyline to advance the message of the smashing hit song Empty Grave. The song, which features the enigmatic Afro-Pop trapper B-Wayne, goes beyond the thought-revealing lyrics to scenes of trust, betrayal, and caution.

Timtooni, the Director of “Empty Grave”, aims to tell a story, be creative, and stay within an African setting. In his brief on the concept behind Empty Grave, he described the visuals as “a deeply symbolic exploration of betrayal, redemption, and the resilience of legacy.”

Dr Pushkin in branded Isolirium Entertainment Shirt and Timtooni

Below is an extract from the Director’s brief.

“The narrative draws inspiration from timeless archetypes and stories. Echoes of Judas’ betrayal at the Last Supper and Jesus’ resurrection weave through the story, as do parallels to Odysseus’ journey to reclaim his home and legacy. These references inform the story’s emotional weight but remain subtle, inviting viewers to reflect on the human struggle for justice, redemption, and triumph over adversity.

At its core, the video also speaks to a powerful metaphor: how detractors, naysayers, and the pressures of life often attempt to bury our dreams. When people seek to silence you or dim your shine, they are essentially trying to bury your potential, vision, and unique voice. The more we succumb to these influences, the more we risk creating a “Graveyard of Dreams.” But this video is also a testament to hope—no matter how deeply our dreams may seem buried, there is always potential for resurrection and redemption. It’s a call to resist the world’s external pressures and reclaim the brilliance and purpose within us.” … Junaid Timtooni Yakubu

Promoting Empty Grave

Isolirium Entertainment premiered the music video on the 26th of December 2024. The visuals became an impressive complementing factor to a song already gaining traction in Ghana and worldwide. Having stayed on the Top 10 Videos from Ghana YouTube for weeks, Empty Grave found its way onto multiple TV channels in Ghana, Brazil, Sweden, and several countries. Many who have seen the video on TV or heard it on the radio will acknowledge the heavy rotation of the song and music video.

While typing this, Empty Grave’s numbers across digital platforms kept surging, indicating that this impressive body of art has an infinite peak. Empty Grave is that song and video that reaches all senses in this precarious world of relationships.

Empty Grave was released under Isolirium Entertainment. The label has left imprints on music lovers’ minds in the past year. From releasing top-charting songs and apt collaborations to stellar music videos, the record label continues to carve a unique path with consistency.

Isolirium Entertain 2024

Going into 2024, the two prominent artists on Isolirium Entertainment, Dr Pushkin and Ataman Nikita, appeared poised to wow music lovers. Thus, at every point in the year, there was a new song to jam with. Characteristic of eclectic creatives, song after song proved worth the hype.

Starting with “No Heroes” by Dr Pushkin and Lyrical Joe, Isolirium Entertainment was the force for 2024. Following that, with an infectious and innovative fusion of Afro Pop and Kologo Music, “No Go Go” by Dr Pushkin featuring Ataman Nikita and Kojo Cue was unleashed.

Ataman-Nikita-1

Next up was the monstrous exhibition of talent in “Just Watch” by Dr Pushkin, which featured CJ Biggerman, one of Ghana’s finest rappers. In all of it, the countdown to Ataman Nikita’s first single was eminent, but before that, “Empty Grave”, which has become a people’s favourite, was released. Next up was a remix of the very inspirational song “Winning”. It originally was a Dr Pushkin featuring Quata Budukusu song; however, American rapper Wyldthang jumped on a remix that gave a different perspective to the music.

Suffice it to say that Isolirium Entertainment went into the year to win. Then came a return to the roots, i.e., Dr Pushkin journeyed to Kumasi, where he remains a legend. This journey birthed another classic featuring Ataman Nikita and Strongman. The song “Still Here” came with accompanying visuals shot in Kumasi. Ataman Nikita’s role in this song would be the precursor to his first single, “Enigma”. Enigma revealed Ataman’s stature as an unmatched vocalist; it served as a taste of what the public was to expect from this fantastic Bolga-based singer.

After Ataman Nikita featured Dr Pushkin on his first single, Enigma, he dropped a love ballad to celebrate his wife – titled “Beauty Queen”. The serenading song drew massive attention as RnB has not been explored as a genre; with his sultry voice, ataman Nikita had revived a relatively obscure genre from within Ghana.

While Isolirium Entertainment was promoting the above, Dr Pushkin recruited Gingsen and King Ayisoba for “No Easy”, a fusion of Hip-Hop and Kologo. The standout factor for this song was the stature of all three artists. Each brought a uniqueness from their respective stables to the music.

As we inched closer to 2025, Dr Pushkin released a primary thought-provoking song, Questions II. The song is a sequel to Questions, which was released some years ago. The new song, however, sort of questions the human psyche and births a new perspective for 2025. That could have been the wrap for Isolirium Entertainment; however, Dr Pushkin and Ataman Nikita had more to give.

Just before the year ended, Dr. Pushkin featured Aphee and Azkonna on “Free?”, a song highlighting the true definition of freedom by asking whether we are indeed free.

To finally wrap up the year 2024 and usher in a grand 2025, Dr Pushkin and Ataman Nikita dropped a song titled “My Time”. My time is more of an affirmation of the greatness about to be unleashed musically in 2025.

The grand entry into 2025.

True to it, 2025 opened with Ataman Nikita featuring B-Wayne in a song that dared B-Wayne to sing over an RnB instrumentation; in the process, a piece of musical magic was birthed in “Never Falling”.

2025 has already started with “Never Falling” by Ataman Nikita ft. B-Wayne. Dr. Pushkin is readying a banger for release. Empty Grave is adorning major TV networks around the world. Isolirium Entertainment is set to drop three albums. More music to feed the soul this year doesn’t get better than this.

Dr Pushkin is getting ready for another massive performance at the SXSW Festival in March 2025. Meanwhile, Isolirium Entertainment is set to make major announcements on the upcoming albums of both acts.

The quadrennial event that has been Ghana’s show-off to the world about its strides as a democratic country was characteristic of the usual contest of ideas and other political shenanigans. Ghana went to the Polls and elected Former President John Dramani Mahama as President.

For the next 4years, the various representatives will be the voice of the people. The affairs of the Parliament of Ghana will be stirred by Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, a former Northern Ghana Parliamentarian. His rich experiences as a lawyer and parliamentarian as well as the Speaker of Parliament since 2020 is expected to help new entrants and Parliamentarians work to develop Ghana and, by extension, Northern Ghana.

Alban-Sumana-Kingsford-Bagbin – Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament

Each Northern Ghana Parliamentarian has through a rigorous campaign promised their constituents a tenure that would not only impact Ghana positively but will also bring relief to constituents.

Regions that makeup Northern Ghana

Before 2018, Northern Ghana was comprised of three regions. Namely, it is the Northern Region, Upper East Region, and Upper West Region. However, in 2018, the erstwhile Nana Akufo Addo Government deemed it appropriate to further create more regions in Ghana. The decision by the central government led to an additional 2 Regions being carved from the existing Northern Region of Ghana. In All, the number of Regions in Ghana went from 10 to 16 in 2018 after a referendum held in the 47 Districts that had the mandate to endorse or disagree with the government’s move to create new regions.

The successful event led to the creation of two additional regions: the Northeast and the Savannah Region. The Northern half of Ghana now had five areas of diverse cultures and ethnicities, with some overlapping into different regions. Within the various areas lie an even more enormous number of cultural diversities, resources, tourist attractions, and resilient people who cherish the uniqueness they bring to Ghana.

Disclaimer:

The use of the phrase “Northern Ghana” is not to bundle together the various ethnicities that make up the area. It simply describes the geographical location of the area in Ghana. Northern Ghana is culturally diverse. A delve into the varied ethnicities will keep you soaked in a wonderous worldview you may have never encountered.

It’s Brand New and velvety from Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne.

Never Falling is the first single from Ataman Nikita for 2025. This song further cements his stature as a vocal powerhouse with a knack for velvety music. Recruiting the talented B-Wayne for this song was more like combining two of the finest fragrances to achieve that unique one.

A Personal take on Never Falling

2024 was supposed to be a great year, but I was in pain as I struggled with decisions that bothered my life. Each morning, when the chirps of the birds in my home woke me up, I clutched at any opportunity to feel alive and motivated. Complex as it may seem, I always found a reason to live in hope. Fast forward to November 18th, 2024, a litter of 9 from one of my dogs, Popee, became a source of joy, which eluded me nearly through the year.

Still nursing my pain from losing my brother, Evans Akangyelewon Atuick. Popee’s litter reminded me of all the discussions I had with Evans about my pursuits and my state of confusion as to whether I was doing the right stuff.

The struggle to keep the puppies alive took a toll on my emotions, especially after losing 3 of them. Weaving and bobbing through the different emotions, on December 29th, 2024, Nala gave me 12 Puppies. December 31st of the same year, I lost all 12 Puppies. I tried to hold back my emotions; however, when I lost another on January 2nd, 2025, I became vexed and extremely angry. All those closest to me realized I had a problem. Before Nala’s whelp, I had casually listened to “Falling” by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne.

While I try to figure out life, my mantra has always been, “somehow, someway, another day will come.” Hearing Falling by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne reminded me of the one unavoidable reality of life. All that we endure or encounter defines the journey toward success.

Never-Falling-By-Ataman-Nikita-x-B-Wayne

Music is the Soul’s food.

Sometimes, you hear a song, and all you have to say is, “This is inspirational.” “Never Falling” by Ataman Nikita featuring B-Wayne is one such song. Ordinarily, one would say this a good curtain raiser for 2025; however, in the sincerest of views, this song is like an anthem that reminds us of our superpower nature as humans. “Never Falling” is our capabilities and the fact that we are built to win in one way or another placed on an RnB/Hip Hop beat.

Ataman-Nikita—Enigma

Never Falling by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne is produced by Phredxter, an ingenious master of his craft – music production. However, to fully appreciate the song, one needs to praise the match between the vocalists and the producer. While others may approach a producer to give a fantastic beat with the hope of getting a significant banger, creating “Never Falling” was simply a product of talents complimenting each other.

Making Never Falling

Ataman Nikita’s sultry yet soulful and melodious voice combined with his ability to stay with a tessitura pleasing to the ear. Such makes listening to the message of this beautiful song a must-listen. B-Wayne’s expressive and resonant vocals make Never Falling a perfect song to start the year with. The two vocalists have created an alluring piece of music that will further enrich their repertoire.

Ataman-Nikita-1

B-Wayne has often performed over Afro-Beat Instrumentation. However, there is no doubt about his pen-game, vocal performance, and ingenious use of hooks to awe fans and music lovers. His recent mammoth concert at Jocom in Bolgatanga offered insights into how much inroads he’s made as an artiste. To jump into this genre was an indication of how much risk he was willing to take in the use of his voice. Maybe we should expect a rock song from him soon.

In 2024, when Ataman Nikita immersed himself in music, he dared himself with the first single titled “Enigma.”  Enigma set the tone for this impressive music powerhouse to unleash an alternative sound many may not be familiar with. Even though his inspiration comes from several genres, it is safe to say RnB and any other genres that call for dynamic use of vocals always need an Ataman Nikita. Never Falling is technically Ataman Nikita’s 3rd single. Enigma and Beauty Queen earned him much-needed respect; however, Never Falling tells the story of winning in the face of adversity.

Somehow, someway, in 2025, we are Never Falling.

Never Falling is available on all streaming sites.

“Questions II – Dr Pushkin Interrogates the very being of man

Questions-II-by-Dr-Pushkin

“Questions II” was unveiled.

In another bold move, Dr Pushkin has dared to question nearly every aspect of our current being through a song. Titled Questions II, a sequel to Questions released a few years ago, the artiste challenges the status quo with relevant questions. The kind that will make even P. Diddy Question his absurd leaning towards paranormal behaviour.

As an artist who has prioritized the use of music as not only an entertainment medium, Questions II is a reminder of the conscience-laden rapper.

Dr Pushkin has seen a meteoric rise in all spheres of his hustle, from releasing multiple banging songs to Khaya updates. Spotted in Ghana just before the general elections of 2024, the ever-working rapper is bent on achieving a milestone in several fields that remain to be surpassed.

While in Ghana, Dr Pushkin was a guest speaker at several university conferences on the development of artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, on the music side, he did several collaborations, visited his hometown of Bongo in the Upper East Region, and wrapped it up with a video shoot for the timeless hit “Empty Grave” featuring one of Upper East’s finest musical gems to the world, B-Wayne.

“Questions II” is the last set to wrap up Dr Pushkin’s impressive repertoire for 2024. It is available on all digital music stores.

Music shouldn’t just be beat, and words mumbled together; it should be beaten with words that inspire you to want to act differently. Remember, right and wrong resides in the conscience of all; however, a relevant set of questions is needed to draw them out.

Questions II should get you bouncing and evaluating life, pursuits, aspirations, and all you could ever live for.

Questions II by Dr Pushkin – Lyrics

How come best
Comes to those
That least deserve it?
How come the loudest voices
Can never confirm shh
If they don’t have the talent
Why can’t they just earn it?
I don’t even know, do you?”

Why they preaching peace
But don’t follow the motto?
Ma rent’s due again
Why can’t I just win the lotto
When the guns come out
Where goes all the bravado?
I don’t even know, do you?
(Bra – tu tu tu)

Can’t they leave man alone
So he can write this corpus
Why so hard to believe
That I have found my purpose?
When they vote a clown in
Why not expect a circus?
I don’t even know, do you?

If there are no heroes,
It’s ok being a villain?
Being a villain they need?
Why cry when my country bleeds?
Why bother if it succeeds?
When all I see is hatred seed
I don’t even know, do you?

And who knew
After all that we’ve been through
I’d be coming back to you
Like a boomerang would do
(Rhetorical)
And who knew
Dr Pushkin would be
One of the illest rappers
You ever knew?

Couldn’t Diddy take that money
And just be normal?
Why ignore common sense
Put faith in paranormal?

Why they seem to be ok
With the killing and slaughter
As long as the slaughter aligns
With preferred world order?

If you fool and take song send to a big artist
(Wo kɔɔ hɔ kɔ yɛɛ dɛn?)
The artist turns around and makes same song with his partners
Is that one too really really really an artist?
I don’t even know, do you?

If you support genocide
Can you really be surprised
When your allies – the victims of this genocide
No longer side with you?

Country’s purse?
We call that a leaky bucket
Can we call it a sieve?
Can we even conceive?
Of a world
Where they don’t stiff us

Those who want some flowers
Why not see a florist?
What you won’t do for fam
You would do for a tourist?
(Hmmm?)
If you had a woman
Who takes and takes
Can you call her your Miss Take?

Going Einstein Crazy with my time and space
Creating art that really speaks – how can that be erased?
And if we can’t take care of home
What we looking for in space?
(Hmm?) (A rat done bit my sister [whisper, “whitey on the moon” opening reference]

I don’t even know
I don’t even know
I don’t even know
Do you? (2x)

Building a business out of passion is the most fantastic way for many to thrive effortlessly. And that is the story of Alphonse Menyo, the young man behind Black Leash Rottweilers. His Dog Holb Blue is currently the ACDS 2024 title holder of 2 trophies: BEST ROTTWEILER – OPEN CLASS and BEST OF BREED – ROTTWEILER.

Holb Blue’s win is challenging; it results from years of unfettered love for dogs. However, when one realises the possibility of turning passion into money, learning more and practising industry standards is only appropriate.

Let’s journey into the conception of Black Leash Rottweillers and the story of Holb Blue.

How Alphonse Amenyo ventured into breeding Rottweilers

Alphonse-and-Some-of-his-Dogs

Growing up, dogs were an integral part of the family. Young Alphonse was, however, responsible for caring for them. Through that, his love for man’s best friend became evident. Alphonse’s attachment to the dogs created a yearning to see dogs thrive and do very well. So, when he realised the possibility of building a business out of it, he started the Black Leash Rottweilers in 2016. The choice of breed was because he loved their sturdy build, strength and the ease of their nature.

Choosing Dogs for Black Leash Rottweiler Breeding Programs

While many people can identify different dogs, choosing a dog for breeding requires particular attention to detail. Most breeders will start from the Pedigree of a Dog. However, It is expected to meet breeders who pay particular attention to the dog’s legs, tail, top line, and overall structure and temperament. Matching the suitable dogs will ensure the future litter inherits the desired qualities. Alphonse has, therefore, learnt to select a good breeding stock.

Just as care is taken to choose a breeding stock, the breeding combination also requires careful consideration to draw out the best from the litter. The pedigree, temperament, specific traits, genetic diversity, and other factors are considered before combining.

The Journey thus far – Black Leash Rottweiler Journey

Meanwhile, Black Leash Rottweilers currently have an impressive number of dogs. The Journey has been one of success built on success. Having won several awards at different dog shows in Ghana. Black Leash Rottweilers are excited about raising Hov Ludo and Holb Blue to become winners. Holb Blue is the newest gem from the kennel.

Holb Blue’s Journey to Winning at ACDS

The annual August Classic Dog Show came off on the 31st of August 2024. An impressive array of Dogs competed in different categories and classes. Holb Blue came in as a Ghana-bred Rottweiler. Her Sturdy build and majestic strides were admirable. One key factor for participation is meeting breed standards. Coming from a good pedigree and raised to meet world standards, she stood out as a winner.

A well-trained dog, Holb Blue brought shine to Black Leash Rottweilers with her good legs, head structure, muscular tail, skin tone, and top line.

Like most dogs, Holb Blue was prepped for the ACDS through more socialisation, exercises, gaiting, etc. Unsurprisingly, she topped her class and category and class at the ACDS. Holb Blue also came 3rd as the Best in Show – ACDS 24.

Quams the Breeder of Top Quality German Shepherds

Aylesbury Pandora is a Ghana-born and Bred Puppy. It is one of the most impressive dogs raised at the Aylesbury Kennel at Spintex-Spintex Road- Baatsona Basket Junction. Emerging as the BEST GERMAN SHEPHERD LONG COAT in the JUNIOR CLASS, she is a fine specimen ready to take the breeding space of Ghana by storm.  Having passed assessments to meet FCI and AKC standards with excellent marks, her mask, structure, and well-defined angulation meant she is a worthy Dog Show participant. Despite competition from other beautiful entries at ACDS 2024, Aylesbury Kennel’s Pandora was tops.

Aylesbury-Kennel—Pandora

The owner believes Pandora came into the ring with “an excellent structure, perfect bite, a super-solid coat, and excellent mannerisms.”

Her win didn’t just happen, “it was a result of some weeks of gaiting, walking, leash work and stellar grooming. She also had to undergo ring work training and more socialisation with over 16 dogs.”

Eventually, stepping into the ACDS 2024 ring with impressive movements likened to a Mercedes Benz E-Class by the owner.

Her owner said, “She was born for the ring and born to win.”

Aylesbury Kennel’s team did impressive work in producing this beautiful young female.

When quizzed about the most memorable moment at the show, the owner of Aylesbury had this to say; “Pandora likes attention; when you show her attention, she performs brilliantly; when you reduce the attention, she lags .. it’s all about love.”

Kwame Asamoah Aka Quams

A typical Ghanaian home desires Children whose academic pursuits will land them an impressive social status via a job. However, the last few decades have seen people blending traditional and unhinged pursuits to achieve thrill, academic success, and impact on the socio-economic well-being of society. The story of Aylesbury Kennel is an amalgamation of such. The excitement of owning loyal top-notch dogs, producing the same, and balancing it with a white-colour job makes Kwame Asamoah an inspiration for all who seek fulfilment from what they do.

Venturing into Breeding

Kwame Asamoah is a man who wins many with his ever-beaming smile; behind that smile is a certainty that he provides all with superior quality German Shepherd Dogs right here in Ghana. Kwame Asamoah is a telecom Engineer by profession, however, his affinity with animal husbandry always allowed an eye on the business. Thus, he ventured into raising various livestock at an early age. After graduating from university, his interest in dogs peaked as a friend introduced him to refined breeding.

Starting Aylesbury Kennel

He was eventually advised to acquire his first Purebred female German Shepherd. The purchase marked the start of his journey.

The choice of what dog to breed was a combination of factors. Whilst learning about quality, Kwame Asamoah, also known as Quams, sorts knowledge on different breeds. He then outlined what he desired in a dog, which led to the German Shepherd’s choice. According to Quams, he wanted a strong, intelligent dog that was much easier to train.

After acquiring the first dog, he sought to use top-of-line males for Stud. Luckily, Rex Wireko Brobbey of Ghana’s Fastest Human fame allowed young Kwame Asamoah to use his male. That act of kindness catapulted him into a sphere of breeding quality and high-value Dogs. He kept several great Danes and Toy Dogs as pets to hone the skill or art of raising impressive dogs.

Aside from desirable traits, German Shepherds are challenging to breed. However, Aylesbury Kennel thrived based on the love for the breed. For over ten years, Aylesbury has diligently challenged itself with breeding nothing short of the best. The kennel has produced and served the dog-loving public with top-of-the-line German shepherds as pets and security.

Facts about Aylesbury Kennel

Aylesbury Kennel has standards dear to heart; foremost, it meets standards set by FCO or AKC. Breeding combinations are also influenced by “the inbreeding coefficient and pedigree details juxtaposed with what the kennels want to achieve with a particular litter”. However, the structure of the Dogs comes before the coat for Aylesbury Kennel.

Aylesbury doesn’t just sell dogs; they ensure each Puppy gets a home capable of giving it the best care and support possible.

In the words of Quams.

“We are never in a hurry to sell; we want a perfect home for all our puppies”.

Some Major feats.

The kennel’s Karlos Von Mouttaz Ibrahim is 4x CAC (2022 – 2023), and he has also emerged as Best Male in many Dog shows.

As exciting as this win is, Aylesbury Kennel doesn’t rest on comfort; thriving and reigning as a kennel in the German Shepherd Space remains a focus. Thus, when a dog like Pandora is “created”, she fits perfectly into the breeding program. In the near future, potential puppy buyers will own a piece of this well-bred Dog as their own.
