President John Dramani Mahama has announced that the much-anticipated 24-hour Economy policy will officially begin on July 1, 2025. The policy, a key promise in the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s 2024 manifesto, is expected to transform productivity across multiple sectors of Ghana’s economy.

Speaking at the 2025 Ghana Horticulture Expo in Accra on Wednesday, June 11, President Mahama called the initiative a “game-changing strategy” designed to fully unlock the country’s production capabilities. He said the move will enhance round-the-clock operations in various industries, especially in agriculture and agribusiness.

Mahama stressed the policy’s impact on the horticulture industry, noting that 24-hour operations will help reduce post-harvest losses by enabling faster transportation of perishable goods — such as pineapples, vegetables, and herbs — to international markets.

“This policy will provide the framework for continued production, processing, and logistics in horticulture,” he said. “It allows perishable goods to move swiftly from the field to international shelves, minimising losses and maximising value.”

He also revealed plans to extend the 24-hour framework to key logistical points, including Ghana’s two main ports. According to Mahama, the Ministries of Trade, Industry, Agri-business, and Transport are collaborating with agencies like the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and the Ghana Shippers’ Council to soon designate the Tema and Takoradi ports as full 24-hour operational hubs.

Khelsa Channels Love and Emotion in New Afrobeat Single “Dealer”

Emerging Afrobeat talent Khelsa, born Daniel Asare Gyamfi, is carving his own space in the genre with the release of his newest single, “Dealer”—a track that blends heartfelt emotion, infectious rhythm, and polished production into a powerful musical statement.

Hailing from Akyim Awenare in Ghana, Khelsa’s journey into music began at the age of nine, when he started drumming in church. That early passion laid the foundation for a creative evolution that would take form professionally seven years ago. Influenced heavily by Nigerian Afrobeat giants, Khelsa has spent the past few years developing a sound that is both authentic and resonant—fueled by his Ghanaian roots and West African musical culture.

“Dealer” is more than just a love song—it’s an expression of affection and appreciation, delivered through smooth vocals, engaging melodies, and a richly layered beat. “The song talks about love and how important she is to me,” Khelsa shares. “Even though I wasn’t in that situation myself, my creativity brought up the whole melody and lyrics.”

The track wasn’t rushed. It took months to complete—partly due to Khelsa’s fluctuating mood during the writing process. “That period was emotionally unstable for me,” he explains. “But my brother and a few of my close producer friends stayed with me through it all. We built this together—from beat making to recording.”

Khelsa also recalls a defining studio moment: “One guy came up with some crazy vibes idea during recording—that completely shifted the energy in the room. From there, everything flowed.” Those spontaneous moments, coupled with the collaborative effort of dedicated producers, shaped the unique vibe of “Dealer”.

Released on October 11, 2024, the single has already made waves on digital streaming platforms (DSPs), bolstered by several viral video snippets circulating online. The reception, according to Khelsa, has been overwhelmingly positive. “It really did well and is still doing well,” he says. “Seeing how far I’ve come since I started drumming in church is what keeps me going.”

Although he’s not currently involved in programs or live events this year, Khelsa remains committed to consistently releasing singles, EPs, and even organizing his own shows in the future. His music, as he puts it, is crafted to give listeners peace, joy, and a deep emotional connection. “After listening to any album or song I release, I want people to find something—whether it’s joy, healing, or just good vibes.”

For those looking to discover or follow Khelsa’s journey, his music is available on all digital streaming platforms, and fans can stay connected with him across all social media platforms.

As he continues to push the boundaries of his creativity, Khelsa stands as a testament to what passion, persistence, and authenticity can achieve in today’s Afrobeat scene. His advice to aspiring artists? “Never give up on your dreams—and always let what’s inside you come out.”

No-Miracles-2

Dr. Pushkin’s latest track, No Miracles, featuring Jon Connor and Ataman Nikita, is about to make some serious noise in the music world. As the title track for the upcoming No Miracles album, it dives deep into themes of personal accountability, rejecting false hopes, and embracing the power of self-reliance. If you’re tired of waiting for things to change magically, this track might be the anthem you need.

No Miracles
No Miracles

The Message Behind “No Miracles”

At its core, No Miracles is a firm declaration: we can’t keep depending on external forces, fake miracle workers, or the empty promises of politicians. Dr. Pushkin, along with Jon Connor and Ataman Nikita, takes a hard look at how we’ve been taught to wait for miracles, when the real change comes from within. The track encourages us to take charge of our futures and stop waiting for someone else to rescue us.

The lyrics speak directly to this theme of empowerment:

“I don’t need no miracles,

Just the truth, my intuition,

And hope it’s mercy on my soul…”

In a world where broken promises and corrupt systems disillusion people, No Miracles is a refreshing reminder that change starts with us. It’s time to trust ourselves and take action.

A Match Made in Music Heaven

When Dr. Pushkin teamed up with Jon Connor and Ataman Nikita for this track, magic happened. All three of these artists are known for delivering thought-provoking, powerful music, and their collaboration blends seamlessly. Ataman Nikita brings his unique energy and fresh perspective to the mix, making this song a global powerhouse.

The song’s production, handled by Phredxter in Ghana and Homie Xco in Nigeria, gives No Miracles a global feel, combining African and American influences. This cross-continental mix of talent brings something truly special to the table.

No Miracles: A Global Fusion

There are two versions of No Miracles—the Fully Mixed Concept (Album Version) and the Fully Mixed Concept (Homie Xco Version)—each bringing something unique to the table. Thanks to Phredxter and Homie Xco’s distinctive approaches, the song offers a rich, layered listening experience. Whether you’re in the mood for the album version’s vibe or the fresh energy of the Homie Xco mix, you won’t be disappointed.

Lyrics That Hit Home

The lyrics in No Miracles are raw, honest, and powerful. They tell the story of overcoming adversity, trusting your inner voice, and taking control of your destiny. One of the most striking parts of the song goes:

“I need no miracles,

Don’t want no miracles,

I can be great on my own.”

These words serve as a wake-up call, reminding us that true strength comes from within, not from waiting for someone or something to save us. No Miracles encourages self-reliance, intuition, and the courage to face life head-on.

Dr. Pushkin, Jon Connor, and Ataman Nikita: Voices for Real Change

Dr. Pushkin, Jon Connor, and Ataman Nikita have built their careers on being voices for social change, and No Miracles continues this legacy. The track critiques political systems, the wealthy elite, and the societal structures that perpetuate inequality.

With lyrics like:

The song challenges us to break free from those systems and forge our path. It’s about taking responsibility for ourselves and our communities, rather than relying on those in power to make things better.

No Miracles is not just another track—it’s a powerful anthem of self-reliance, resilience, and personal accountability. Dr. Pushkin, along with collaborators Jon Connor and Ataman Nikita, is set to drop a track that challenges the status quo and empowers listeners to take control of their lives. In this article, we’ll explore the meaning behind No Miracles, its message of empowerment, and why this track is set to make waves in the music industry.

What is No Miracles All About?

In a world where many wait for external forces to bring about change, No Miracles delivers a refreshing message of self-empowerment. The song rejects the notion of “waiting for miracles”. Instead, it emphasises that the real power to change comes from within. The powerful lyrics resonate with anyone tired of waiting for things to change magically and is ready to take charge of their future.

Key lyric from the song:

“I don’t need no miracles,

Just the truth, my intuition,

And hope it’s mercy on my soul…”

Dr. Pushkin, Jon Connor, and Ataman Nikita together voice the frustrations of those who have been disillusioned by broken promises and societal structures that hinder personal growth. This track is a call to action for anyone who’s been waiting for a miracle and now realises that the only miracle they need is the belief in themselves.

The Power of Self-Empowerment Through Music

One of the most potent elements this song is its universal message. The song taps into the universal human experience of feeling powerless and challenges us to stop relying on external forces—whether that’s politicians, society, or anyone else. With lyrics like “I can be great on my own,” the song speaks to those who’ve realised that the power to change their lives lies within them.

In a world of social media influencers and empty promises, this anthem is a bold statement that reminds us all of our inherent power. No Miracles is more than a song; it’s a reminder that change starts with you.

The Global Collaboration That Brought No Miracles to Life

What makes the song truly special is the global collaboration between Dr. Pushkin, Jon Connor, and Ataman Nikita. While these three artists each bring their unique voices to the track, the production also plays a critical role. Phredxter, from Ghana, and Homie Xco, from Nigeria, collaborated to give the song a fusion of African and American musical influences, resulting in a track that feels both international and intimately personal.

Whether you’re vibing to the album version or the Homie Xco remix, it is bound to hit home with its mix of hip-hop energy and empowering lyrics. This fusion of cultures not only adds to the track’s appeal but gives it a global reach that is much needed in today’s fragmented world of music.
