On June 23 and 25, 2025, the Northern Region marked a significant milestone by completing the confirmation process for the District Chief Executives (DCEs) of all 16 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs). Hon. Ali Adolf John Mburidiba, the Northern Regional Minister, led the final confirmations for the Kpandai and Tatale-Sanguli districts, completing the process for the entire region.

Overwhelming Support for Kpandai and Tatale-Sanguli DCEs
On Monday, June 23, 2025, Hon. Haruna Abdul Karim was confirmed as the DCE for Kpandai District with an impressive 100% of 39 votes, a clear reflection of the assembly’s trust in his leadership. Just two days later, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Hon. Mary Tagbo was confirmed as the DCE for Tatale-Sanguli District, also securing 100% of 38 votes, showcasing her strong support within the assembly.
