Zamse Staff Dominate Zuarungu SHS staff in Thrilling Inter-School Friendly
The staff of Zamse Senior High Technical School once again proved their sporting superiority over their counterparts from Zuarungu Senior High School in an exciting inter-school friendly encounter.

The sporting relationship between the two schools began on 6th February 2026, when Zuarungu staff invited Zamse for a volleyball and football showdown aimed at strengthening bonds and fostering unity among teachers. In the volleyball match, the highly talented Zamse team secured a convincing straight-set victory, demonstrating skill, coordination, and teamwork.
The excitement continued on the football field. With strong support from Zuarungu students who stormed the park with energetic drumming and cheering the football match ended in a thrilling 2–2 draw. After the games, the Zuarungu staff warmly hosted their guests with delicious light soup, generous servings of meat, and refreshing drinks, turning the event into a memorable social gathering.
In appreciation of the hospitality shown, Zamse also hosted Zuarungu for a return encounter yesterday, 19th February,2026. However, history repeated itself. Zamse triumphed again in both volleyball and football. In the football match, Zamse secured a 3–1 victory, reaffirming their dominance. Observers noted that the level of skill displayed by the Zamse staff suggests they are arguably one of the strongest school staff teams in the Upper East Region.
Following the matches, a mini celebration was organized for all staff members. The atmosphere was filled with merriment, laughter, and camaraderie, with an abundance of meat and drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic served to participants.
Speaking after the match, the head coach of the Zamse staff, Hon. James Akuribila Nyaaba humorously remarked that his team deliberately scored 3–2 in one of the encounters so as not to overly embarrass their colleagues.
The Assistant Headmaster of academics in Zamse, Mr. Emmanuel Akageri of Zamse also addressed the gathering on behalf of the Headmaster, who was unavoidably absent due to official duties, he warmly welcomed the visiting team and emphasized the importance of such activities.
“The life of a teacher is always duty-bound from inspections to classroom work, monitoring, and many other responsibilities. It is therefore important that we organize games like this to keep ourselves fit and active,” he stated.
In a light-hearted tone, he ended his speech by jokingly questioning the legitimacy of two goals scored by the visiting team, adding that they would be “investigated.”
The event concluded in high spirits, marked by unity, sportsmanship, and strengthened friendship between the two institutions. Players to look out for whenever you are meeting Zamse staff in a football match, Hyppo, Soldier, Osei, Aziz, Sheriff, Awara, Conz, Penipa, Emma and many more. No school can defeat the staff of Zamse.
