Stammerer to Virtuoso Rapper – The Unparalleled Odyssey of Rappersania
“I like to write about the society and its issues, so religion is not an exception. I’ll talk about it if I think there is the need for that”…. RappErSaniA
Sometimes I struggle to pick a genre of music that I can say is swell, not because I am confused but because I came to the realization that no matter the genre, an artistic person’s ability to manipulate the rhythms with lyrics that exude superiority on all facets of producing music is what amounts to the eclectic feel that gives the swell notion.
As such, my constant quest to hear new material that will not just move my feet but set my mind on a spiralling journey in the savanna led me to a young and energetic man who is out to douce the minds of those enslaved by trends and trash music.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you RappErSaniA, the young man who went from being a stammerer to an amazing rapper.
Who is Rappersania?
Rappersania
A Gonja, born in Tamale on the 3rd of December 1992, Mumuni Mohammed Nazir now known by the stage name RappErSaniA spent almost all his life in in the Northern region where he went to Kalpohin Junior High School and eventually became the senior school prefect.
“Even though I was born a stammerer, I was determined to improve on my speaking ability because it sometimes took me several minutes to express myself with just a sentence. So, becoming the senior school prefect was a perfect situation that I could use to improve my speech.” He spoke.
Upon completing Junior high school he gained admission at the Tamale Senior High School to study general arts. This is where his love for rap as a teenager took a pivotal position in his life.
Growing up in a neighbourhood where Hip Hop had taken centre stage, it was regular to find youngsters slug it out in a couple of verses, and as the guy who represented his school in almost every rap competition and won, the urge to further prove superiority in the game amongst his peers pushed him to dig up the true meaning of hip-hop by paying closer attention to A-list hip-hop acts like Nas, and watching pro-hip hop videos, movies and subsequently choosing Nas as a Number one inspiration both in lyrics and his commitment to keeping hip-hop sane.
Honing the craft – Rappersania
Knowing the importance attached to the genre, he took to a regular routine of practicing, writing and re-writing his lyrics till he had what he refers to as “Flawless Rap Flow” something that influenced his journey into mainstream hip hop.
“I like to write about the society and its issues, so religion is not an exception. I’ll talk about it if I think there is the need for that”…. RappErSaniA
With a good number of unreleased original songs, he has done countless covers of amazing songs including “Beyond Practice” and “All of Me”, a cover of Jon Legend’s “All of Me” which he did for his female fans. When I asked him about why he puts so much lyricism on covers when he could do them as his own songs he had simply smiled and spoke.
“It is a sign of respect to the producer and artiste, and also just telling the world I could do fine like Nas. Besides covers have played instrumental roles in the careers of several chart-topping artistes. We all know how Kendrick Lemar rode on a Jay Z instrumental to become the new kid on the block. It’s not a requirement in hip-hop but its tool one can explore in a quest to attain global dominance”.
With the release of the aforementioned covers he decided to release “Mean Love” and “Nyura” featuring Kawastone, serving as teasers to his debut album.
To think that this gentleman would still be buried in stacks of hip hop albums is far from true because even though he reveres Nas, he listens to more Soul Music because he finds it soothing when he isn’t in his hip hop elements; and he has a soft spot for Asa, Sade, Adele and young Jhene Aiko.
“I’ve got a thing for Soul music you know, and I love Jazz too, my favourite is Fela Kuti. His skilful use of the saxophone endears him to me, and I admire his confidence considering the nature of politics in his time.”…He said.
The Future of Rappersania
On his future he had this to say.
“I have loads of tracks online and a full album waiting to be released. I’m also working on a ten-track Afro-Beats album. I thought of recording that album so people can see the versatility in skill when I switch between languages and rhythms.
Most of the tracks on the Afro-Beats album have me delivering mind blowing Dagbani verses interspersed with my regular flow in the queen’s language. Having shared stages with some of Ghana’s finest acts like Sarkodie, R2bees, 4×4 and rocked almost every major show that has happened in Tamale within the last few years, I feel I’m ready to fully grace the music scene with my art. This was re-enforced when Paedae “Omar Sterling” endorsed my art by saying “You are one hell of a writer”.
“I’m relatively young but I think I’m ready for this journey. As an independent artiste the support from my team iRap, a group of talented youngsters in Tamale with an impeccable flow like me, the sky is just a helipad. Expect my first video in the next couple of weeks”.
RappErSaniA is currently studying Laboratory Science at the Advanced Global College in Tamale, he is poised to build a career that will make his stay in hip-hop relevant and impactful.
A new voice is developing at the centre of Ghana’s changing music industry. It combines lyrical skill, genre-bending inventiveness, and reflection. Born Bormeh Mwinle-Naa Wilbeck, Gingsen is more than just a well-known figure; he represents artistic tenacity and cultural genuineness.
Gingsen’s story is inspirational. He used DJ software to produce music at the age of eleven. He then performed as the main act at his concert, showcasing an unorthodox journey. A Star Born with Sound in His DNA
On April 5, 1999, Gingsen was born into a family in Ghana. In his family, music was more than background noise. It was a way of life. His artistic curiosity was sparked by his mother’s heartfelt singing in a Catholic Church choir. It was also influenced by his older brother’s early love of poetry and rap.
The pivotal moment occurred when a classmate introduced him to Virtual DJ. This introduction led to a lifelong passion for vocal experimentation and beat-making. Unaware that he was planting the roots for a successful music career, Gingsen began recording his songs at eleven.
Gingsen’s Musical Influences
While growing up, he was exposed to various musical styles, including hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and dancehall. The music played constantly in his home by artists like Vybz Kartel, Lil Wayne, and Drake shaped his taste. Damian Marley, Fantan Mojah, and Nas also influenced his storytelling instincts. Ghanaian heavyweights like E.L., R2Bees, and FOKN Bois further solidified his musical direction locally and encouraged him to be relatable and poetic.
Afro-Pop and Hip Hop Collide
Gingsen describes his sound as a combination of Afro-pop and hip-hop, saying he cannot confine himself to one genre. Despite having a rap foundation, his style regularly veers into melodic areas, including dancehall, soul, and experimental influences. He has experience in music production. He takes charge of his sound. He consistently pushes the envelope while staying loyal to himself.
“I make hip hop and afro pop. However, I dabble in other genres. This keeps my sound spontaneous, fresh, and creative,” says Gingsen.
From ‘The Gvng’ to Kingsen Bars – Building a Catalogue
“The Gvng,” his official debut single, was released in 2018. However, Gingsen had honed his art for years. He did this through collaborations, freestyles, and demos.
His discography consists of three highly regarded mixtapes and more than sixteen singles:
Volume 1 of KINGSEN BARS (2020) , Volume 2 of KINGSEN BARS (2022) and KINGSEN BARS VOL.3, released on April 11, 2025. Each of the nine tracks in this third instalment showcases Gingsen’s development as a person and an artist.
On “Kingsen Bars” Volume 3, Gingsen declares, “This project is a milestone. It adds more sonically pleasing and exciting music to my catalogue.”
One Night With Greatness: Gingsen’s first Headliner
Remember to mark your calendars. Gingsen’s first significant performance is titled “One Night with Greatness.” It will be held at the Jocom Golden Hotel Bolgatanga on April 19, 2025. This event is more than just a performance for a poetic storytelling artist; it’s a declaration of purpose and appreciation.
“Getting to interact with people who intimately connect with my music has always been something I’ve dreamt of,” he says.
Gingsen’s Creative Process
According to Gingsen, his creative process combines introspection and intuition. His music frequently takes on a life of its own, whether expressing societal themes, personal feelings, or simply a rhythm.
“We’re just vessels who carry the message,” he states. “Sometimes the music writes itself.”
His songs are unvarnished, honest, and akin to journal entries. They frequently act as emotional pillars for his followers. Some songs discuss the heartache in “Aisha’s Story.” Others convey the optimism in “Smile.”
Influences and Goals – International Motivation with Regional Origins
His influences are diverse, ranging from Damian Marley to FOKN Bois, Wizkid to J. Cole, but they are all united by their genuineness. Gingsen hopes to work with these artists since he thinks artistic expression has no boundaries.
“They have in common their ability to keep their music real, authentic, personal, and still connect with people worldwide.”
Career-Defining Moments
Gingsen has shared the stage with some of Ghana’s best artists. Notable performances by Gingsen include;
Kuami Eugene’s 2018 Rockstar Concert at Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Obstacles and Successes
Like many independent artists, Gingsen’s path hasn’t been without obstacles. He comes from an area frequently ignored by the media. He has struggled to establish his career with minimal funding and little infrastructure. However, his honours reveal something else:

Sound Development – From Bars to Equilibrium
Every project shows how Gingsen’s sound has changed over time. His recent music strikes a balance between reflection and melody. It incorporates both rapping and singing. In contrast, his earlier work primarily focused on lyrical acrobatics.
“I’m blending my ability to make records—singing and rapping on the same tracks—to connect emotions and styles into wholesome music.”
A Close Relationship with Fans
Gingsen considers his supporters more than just an audience; they are integral to his path. He cherishes face-to-face communication and maintains a strong online presence with sincere direct messages and live Instagram sessions.
Meeting new artists who claim I inspired them to create is one of my most rewarding experiences. That’s what motivates me to continue.
Views on the Music Industry in Ghana
Gingsen is open and honest about the situation of Ghana’s music industry. He highlights the lack of media paywalls. Current royalties’ schemes are inefficient. Infrastructure for artists is inadequate, especially for those from underprivileged areas.
“We need serious investment and reform,” he states. “There is talent. The assistance isn’t.”
After a lifetime filled with development, hardship, and success, Gingsen gives aspiring musicians this advice:
“Have patience. You get ready for more significant positions during your adventure. Get familiar with the basics. Have faith in your intuition. Additionally, avoid trying to be everything at once.
Collaborations
For every artiste, validation is essential. Thus, when fellow musicians find you worthy of a collaboration, it’s a feather in your cup. Gingsen has enjoyed an impressive list of collaborations. These include the following:

A Personal take on Never Falling
2024 was supposed to be a great year, but I was in pain as I struggled with decisions that bothered my life. Each morning, when the chirps of the birds in my home woke me up, I clutched at any opportunity to feel alive and motivated. Complex as it may seem, I always found a reason to live in hope. Fast forward to November 18th, 2024, a litter of 9 from one of my dogs, Popee, became a source of joy, which eluded me nearly through the year.
Still nursing my pain from losing my brother, Evans Akangyelewon Atuick. Popee’s litter reminded me of all the discussions I had with Evans about my pursuits and my state of confusion as to whether I was doing the right stuff.
The struggle to keep the puppies alive took a toll on my emotions, especially after losing 3 of them. Weaving and bobbing through the different emotions, on December 29th, 2024, Nala gave me 12 Puppies. December 31st of the same year, I lost all 12 Puppies. I tried to hold back my emotions; however, when I lost another on January 2nd, 2025, I became vexed and extremely angry. All those closest to me realized I had a problem. Before Nala’s whelp, I had casually listened to “Falling” by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne.
While I try to figure out life, my mantra has always been, “somehow, someway, another day will come.” Hearing Falling by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne reminded me of the one unavoidable reality of life. All that we endure or encounter defines the journey toward success.

Music is the Soul’s food.
Sometimes, you hear a song, and all you have to say is, “This is inspirational.” “Never Falling” by Ataman Nikita featuring B-Wayne is one such song. Ordinarily, one would say this a good curtain raiser for 2025; however, in the sincerest of views, this song is like an anthem that reminds us of our superpower nature as humans. “Never Falling” is our capabilities and the fact that we are built to win in one way or another placed on an RnB/Hip Hop beat.
Ataman-Nikita—Enigma
Never Falling by Ataman Nikita and B-Wayne is produced by Phredxter, an ingenious master of his craft – music production. However, to fully appreciate the song, one needs to praise the match between the vocalists and the producer. While others may approach a producer to give a fantastic beat with the hope of getting a significant banger, creating “Never Falling” was simply a product of talents complimenting each other.
Making Never Falling
Ataman Nikita’s sultry yet soulful and melodious voice combined with his ability to stay with a tessitura pleasing to the ear. Such makes listening to the message of this beautiful song a must-listen. B-Wayne’s expressive and resonant vocals make Never Falling a perfect song to start the year with. The two vocalists have created an alluring piece of music that will further enrich their repertoire.
Ataman-Nikita-1
B-Wayne has often performed over Afro-Beat Instrumentation. However, there is no doubt about his pen-game, vocal performance, and ingenious use of hooks to awe fans and music lovers. His recent mammoth concert at Jocom in Bolgatanga offered insights into how much inroads he’s made as an artiste. To jump into this genre was an indication of how much risk he was willing to take in the use of his voice. Maybe we should expect a rock song from him soon.
In 2024, when Ataman Nikita immersed himself in music, he dared himself with the first single titled “Enigma.” Enigma set the tone for this impressive music powerhouse to unleash an alternative sound many may not be familiar with. Even though his inspiration comes from several genres, it is safe to say RnB and any other genres that call for dynamic use of vocals always need an Ataman Nikita. Never Falling is technically Ataman Nikita’s 3rd single. Enigma and Beauty Queen earned him much-needed respect; however, Never Falling tells the story of winning in the face of adversity.
Somehow, someway, in 2025, we are Never Falling.
Never Falling is available on all streaming sites.
