Maccasio x Mr. P Concert Rescheduled for 7 November at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium
Tamale rapper Maccasio will host Mr. P of P-Square fame at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on 7 November 2026, after the July show was called off following the passing of the Ya-Naa.
TAMALE – The Maccasio x Mr. P concert is back on. Tamale rapper Maccasio will host Nigerian music star Mr. P, Peter Okoye of P-Square fame, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday, 7 November 2026.
The show, billed “The Return of Maccasio x Mr. P Live in Concert”, replaces the event planned for 18 July, which was called off following the passing of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Abukari II.

Why the July Show Was Called Off
Mr. P was first unveiled as headline guest for a concert on 18 July 2026. Following the death of Ya-Naa Abukari II, the organising committee suspended all promotional activities out of respect for the Royal Family and the people of Dagbon. The organisers had also pledged to raise funds at the concert for the Gbewaa Palace project begun by the late Ya-Naa. The July event was later cancelled.
The new date was confirmed in a flyer posted on Maccasio’s official Facebook page this week.
Line-up and Support
Tamale artiste Muf Tee is the first supporting act to be announced. In a post sharing his flyer, he described the night as history in the making. More acts are expected to be named in the coming days.
Businessman Adam Issahaku, popularly known as Oddi Dorla, has also announced that he will fully sponsor transport for fans who cannot afford to travel to Tamale for the show.
About Maccasio
Maccasio, born Sherif Abdul Majeed in Tamale, raps mainly in Dagbani and is one of Northern Ghana’s biggest live acts. He was named Overall Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Northern Music Awards, and has previously drawn crowds reported at close to 20,000 to the Tamale stadium. In 2017 he became the first Northern artiste to headline a concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Maccasio x Mr. P concert is one of the largest international music events staged in Tamale this year, and is expected to bring significant business to hotels, transport operators and vendors in the city.
